How to Play: Zoom Charades

By Jack Archer

Players: 2-14

Ages 14 and Up

Play Time: 45-90 Minutes

Setup: Actually go to class for once. Log into the Zoom conference and make eye contact with all who are playing.

Your Goal: Score as many points as possible before class is over.

Playing: Split into teams of two. Each team will compete against the other teams to score the most points. Alternate who is guessing each round.

The Mimer: Go to https://phillipsexeteracademy.sharepoint.com/sites/connect and silently act out the first thing you see.

The Guesser: Watch your teammate (for an extra challenge, you are not allowed to pin their video) and try to guess what they are miming. Type guesses to them in the chat (privately, of course).

Every successful guess awards a point to your team.

Your team is automatically disqualified if the teacher asks you to “mute your camera because you're moving too much and my wifi can’t take it.”

It is essential to be concise. Convey the most meaning with the least movement. Bonus points if your teacher mentions your “fidgeting” problem in your end of term comments.
