By TYLER CHO, JINMIN LEE, and ARJUN VELAN

On Oct. 19, the boy’s varsity water polo team played Deerfield for a home game over parents’ weekend. Exeter dominated the entire game, consistently leading and ending with a crushing 21-4 victory.

“The game went really well,” recalled upper Andrew Gao. “We bonded as a team and everyone got equal playing time. We had a quick and efficient playing style, and we were up fourteen points in the first two quarters. We handled it well and the sportsmanship was great.”

Upper James Faulhaber agreed. “We played well’ our team is fast, which we took advantage of it. We were able to swim down at a quicker pace than Deerfield, which gave us a significant advantage for tactics and overall plays.

“I want to shout out Ariel Soler-Camiel for this game because he had a great effort and almost scored,” said Gao.

“Ari did a great job,” Faulhaber concurred. “He’s a new PG, and he’s doing well.”

Overall, the team’s efforts are paying off as they continue the season with many wins. Their speed and coordination are making for great success.
