11/7/24 Highlight: Varsity Field Hockey
By KAYLEE GONG, HENRY WISE
This past Wednesday, October 30, the girls’ varsity field hockey team competed in a great match against Holderness School. Countless shouts for passes, cheers of fans, and cries of joy echoed across the field that afternoon. Both teams gave it their all, but in the warm air and almost-Halloween spirit, Big Red came out with a shutout win of 3-0.
It is clear that the team’s hard work and teamwork over the season has paid off. When asked about how the team played, lower Beatrix Doeringer said, “At our game against Holderness everyone put in 100% effort, and we all connected well on the field ending with a win.”
Although fall term, and especially fall sports, have seemed to fly by, the end of the season is quickly approaching. Looking towards the future, Doeringer added, “We are all looking forward to our next two games which will be tough, but I know our team will step up to compete and do our best.”
Even after a successful run against Holderness School, Exeter’s varsity field hockey team will be sure to keep their efforts up. With only a few games left, it is crucial for them to work together, but most importantly, have fun. Go Big Red!
