Well, ladies and gentleman, students and faculty, preplings and seniors, it has come to that time. After 24 long weeks and 24 beautifully crafted issues, on this special day we bring you a 25th issue that holds the power to change your lives. We are getting pretty exhausted over in the depths of Ewald Hall—it’s taken blood, sweat, tears, a few energy drinks, three all nighters and a ton of great questions to bring together each and every issue. Now, we want to know who has what it takes to recreate Life Advice in 2015. Who has what it takes to make a name for themselves and create a change in the Exeter community? Who has what it takes to truly make an impact on the lives of their fellow Exonians? Here is your chance to show us. Below is a list of questions to answer if you’re willing to take the challenge and apply for the position of Life Advice writer. Open your laptops, do some finger exercises and work your magic.This application is due on Christmas day, December 25, before 11:59 p.m.In what ways are you qualified to give advice to others? How are you knowledgeable about life at Exeter? (50-75 words)How has Life Advice changed your life, and how do you plan to use it to change the lives of others? (75-100 words)What are some things you would do differently with Life Advice? List creative changes or improvements you’d like to make. (75-100 words)Write an issue of Life Advice with a minimum of five questions and answers of your own. Aim for a balance between funny and serious questions; however, consider when humor is appropriate. Remember, the priority is to be helpful. (400 words minimum)To submit your application, share the file as a Google Doc to all three of the following email addresses: exonian@gmail.com, mpolk@exeter.edu, and yagata@exeter.edu. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved in the Exeter community, and we’re excited to see your submissions.
