Stratford Style Guide: Part Two
Hi again! While many of you were probably at the cool magic show or hanging out at the happenin Fox Run mall last Saturday night , us Stratford kids were out and about on the streets of London having actual fun. Although we missed London Fashion Week, we could really feel the fashionista vibes of Paris Fashion Week radiating from the runways onto the residents of the trendy hub of St. Paul’s Youth Hostel. We’ve been paying close attention to the numerous reportings of the fashion blogs on campus, and wanted to keep the style coming! Autumn has definitely welcomed us with open arms and Pumpkin Spice Lattes over the course of our weekend in London. Speaking of arms, fall and other basic things, our favorite part of autumn (aside from the dirt-like PSL’s) are the, also dirt-like, shades of brown for our favorite sweaters.Tis the season for autumnal outerwear, and who better to model this trend than The Farm’s very own Mark Oet! Mark really showed us how to embrace the weather and inspiration of a city as fashion forward as London (or even Exeter, NH). His 75% polyester and 25% rayon blend sweater/long-sleeve shirt hung proudly on his torso and made passersby stare with envy. But the brown did not stop there. Mark embraced another trend, colorblocking, and paired his dark brown sweater with a slightly darker pair of brown pants to complete the ensemble. Mark’s light brown sweater blended into his darker brown pants, creating a reverse ombre look that reminded us of all of the good things in life. His outfit was like oatmeal, with the burnt piece at the bottom, or like the Digestive biscuits we have with our tea, or even the milk that remains after a nice bowl of Cocoa Puffs. All of these similes just mean Mark looked good enough to eat! Yum!Please flip to the humor page next week to find out which Stratford style maven will make it to thestratfordstyleguide.
