We all have that friend, or are that friend, that simply has no clue how to be healthy. I recently started helping one of my friends drop a couple pounds. In case others of you are plagued by the same misguided myths as he was, here are a few helpful tips:Going to the gym doesn’t help if all you do is sit on the bike and watch television. And I mean literally just sit, no pedaling was done that day, or any day for that matter, he just sat there and watched Naruto.Eating something “healthy” doesn’t cancel out something unhealthy. I had a hard time fathoming the depths of the idiocy that led him to believe that salads had negative calorie counts.Green doesn’t always mean healthy. Again, this is something that shouldn’t have to be said, but apparently common sense is lacking in this one. You can’t smother a salad in blue cheese dressing and fried chicken and still expect it to be healthy.If any of you have a friend who is allergic to weight-loss, its about time you sat down with them and found out what misguided ideas about dieting they might have.
