On Oct. 11, the girls’ varsity volleyball team traveled to the Northfield Mount Hermon School and returned home with a crushing 3-0 victory, leading consistently throughout all the sets and crushing the last set with a score of 25-4.
“Everybody on the team played very well,” shared co-captain and upper Liv Lang. “Although Exeter has historically been a stronger team than NMH, we gave it our all until the very end and made sure to secure the victory with our best performance.”
“We crushed them,” recalled team manager and upper Robin Dao. “The team has been working hard on passing and starting off with strong serves, which will pay off and maybe win us the season.”
Lang added, “Although everybody played so well, I want to shout out Steph Handte for a great performance, even though she rolled her ankle previously in the week.”
“I want to shout out Clare McCann for a great line shot in the game,” said Dao.
Overall, the team played very well, although the team had to travel many hours and overcome some injuries. The consistent practice of passing and serving is allowing the team to continue its strong season.
