Girls' Waterpolo Prepared

Spring has finally come, and with it, the spring sports season. Girls’ water polo is back this year and better than ever. With a batch of new preps coming onto the team, the girls are ready for a great season, and the new players are eager to learn.“It’s a really hard sport, actu- ally,” prep Emily LaRovere said. “It’s much harder than I thought it was go- ing to be. It’s also much harder than it looks.” LaRovere is looking forward to the season, seeing it as an opportunity to learn the sport, practice with her team- mates and get some game experience. “I hope to be able to play in a game this season but I'm not sure. I'm very excited, though. It’s going to be a great season,” LaRovere concluded.Manager and lower QuinnHickey agreed with LaRovere. “I’m re- ally looking forward to this season. I’ve honestly been looking forward to manag- ing girls’ water polo all year long, and it’s really gratifying to finally be able to do it.” Hickey expressed his belief that the squad is strong this year and should be viewed as a real threat by the schools it will go up against.“We’ve got a lot of great girls on the team,” Hickey added. “Especially Hope Logan. She’s a really strong player, and she’s got a great personality to match. I’m looking forward to watching her play. I think that the girls have great chemistry this year. I’m also really happy for our coach, Mr. McTammany. Girls water polo is one of his favorite sports to coach, and I can tell that he is psyched for the season. It’s going to be a good one.”
