Exeter Boys Hockey won their third game in a row in a very successful season over St. Paul’s in a home game Friday evening, making their record a current 6-6-1. Dryden Dervish scored the opening goal of the game, Gavin Fitzpatrick scored the second, and Brendan St. Peter scored the final goal.

Prep Jack Tucker stated, “We were energetic on the bench. We did well in front of the net, dryden and fitzy’s goals were rebounds.”

Upper Jackson Bloemker agreed, “The first line did really well that game.” This displays the team general consensus that they performed well that day, and gave it their all. However, despite the success, there is always room for improvement.

Tucker added, “Yet, we have to work on moving the puck quicker and making smarter decisions with the puck.” While they “battled all the way through the game”, he pointed out that the team would perform better by playing “more physical” in the future.

Unfortunately, Big Red lost their game against Proctor on January 11th, but are heading over to Governor’s Academy on January 15th for another match. With their team spirit, skill, and growth mindset, they are sure to go into the game prepared and ready.
