By MELIA THIBAULT and JADE YOO
On Saturday, Nov. 10, girls’ varsity volleyball crushed Andover in a clean sweep, winning all three sets. The score for each set was 25-14, 25-15, and 25-11. This marks the first of two massive Exeter wins during E/a weekend, as well as an undefeated season for the team. In fact, all of the girls’ volleyball teams have been undefeated the whole entire season, marking a very successful run for Exeter’s volleyball program.
The crowd went wild during the game, cheering various chants and also doing hand movements to accompany them. All of the team managers were also decked out in suits with red ties and/or bandanas. Everyone came ready to support the team but the highlight was the players themselves, who played an amazing game and showcased their excellent teamwork.
Kruthika Annapareddy, a prep on the team, highlighted this energy both in the stands and on the court. “We were just so proud that we were able to play in front of all those people and make them proud by winning. And honestly, we crushed it.”
At the end of the game, everyone stormed the gym while cheering to celebrate the dramatic win. As everyone gathered in the middle of the gym, jumping and having fun, the players were in the middle of it all, truly taking in the incredible performance they showed at the important game.
