Recently, The Exonian ran an article ranking the smoothie places in Exeter, and the Juicery got the top ranking at 8/10. Now this came as no surprise to me, a longtime New Hampshire resident and Juicery fan.

It’s possible you’ve already got a favorite smoothie. But if you’ve walked into the Juicery and found yourself staring aimlessly at the menu, paralyzed by the task of having to make a decision — trust me, I’ve been there — I can help you.

The Juicery boasts a menu of 16 smoothies — 7 Classic Smoothies and 9 Specialty Smoothies. The only real difference between these categories is a $1 price difference, and you can easily find a delicious smoothie in both categories.

But of course, some smoothies are simply better than others, and while what you will like ultimately comes down to a matter of personal preference, here are some of my favorites.

The Sweet Tooth Pick: Peanut Butter Bliss

Do you like chocolate and peanut butter? Will your trick or treating focus tonight be snagging as many Reese’s Cups as you can? Are you not allergic to nuts? (this one’s important, folks) If you answered yes to all of these questions, the smoothie for you is probably the Peanut Butter Bliss. This smoothie is simple, made with only bananas, peanut butter, and chocolate almond milk. It’s deliciously thick and creamy, and it has fruit, so it’s basically healthy. If you’re in the mood for something that tastes like dessert, this is definitely the smoothie for you.

The Fruity Pick: Woah Nellie

You can never go wrong with a berry smoothie, and while the obvious choice might seem like the Very Berry, I personally opt for the Woah Nellie. They cost the same, but with added coconut and yogurt the Woah Nellie just feels fancier. I like a thicker smoothie, and this one just hits the spot.

The Adventurous Pick: Mint Matcha Chip

This smoothie steps outside of the typical smoothie makeup, (berries, mango, yogurt…) and hits the perfect spot between sweet and savory. While banana and honey bring a sweetness, and the matcha balances them out to create an earthy flavor. This smoothie has a thinner texture than some of the others, which makes it feel a little closer to a latte.

The Nutricious Pick: Faster Than Light

This is the smoothie for the That Girls among us. It’s green, and it’s definitely nutritious, with spinach and carrots, but it also has a sweetness that comes from the bananas and almond butter. This isn’t my favorite in terms of taste, but I can certainly appreciate the nutritional benefits from this smoothie.

The Tropical Pick: Sweet Heat

This smoothie is deliciously sweet, and as it’s made with only fruit, apple juice, and cayenne, its texture is closer to that of a slushy than a thick, creamy smoothie. It’s sweet at first, but leaves you with a spicy aftertaste. Its color is a vibrant hot pink, and looks almost like a dragon fruit. If spice scares you, (it’s okay) you can always ask for the smoothie without cayenne.

The Checks All The Boxes Pick: Prana

You’ve read through all my recommendations and you still don’t know. Do you want your smoothie to be fruity? Nutty? Thicker? Thinner? If you really can’t decide, then this smoothie is for you. It’s both fruity and nutty, with almond butter and strawberries. Its texture is the perfect median, as the main liquid included is water. It’s sweet, and a reliably great choice.

Really, you can’t go wrong with food from The Juicery. There’s something for everyone, and even if none of their smoothies appeal to you, they also have a delicious array of toasts and energy bites.

I love The Juicery, and if you don’t yet, hopefully trying some of my recommendations can lead you into Enlightenment.
