Online Exclusive: Hillary Clinton Visits Exeter
Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, stopped by Exeter's Water Street Bookstore this past Friday to talk to small business owners, constituents, and a few lucky Exonians. While local residents and Exonians crowded the bookstore, Clinton spoke to a small group of campaign leaders, volunteers, and public officials. In the private talk, Clinton outlined her initiative to converse with all Americans, so that she could hear about the different issues that affect everyone in the United States. Exeter's representative in the New Hampshire House, Alexis Simpson, asked Clinton what steps she would take to protect agriculture and farmers. Another local resident asked Clinton how she would tackle mental health, disability and drug issues. After the conversation, Clinton took pictures, talked one-on-one with everyone in the group and signed books.
