Life Advice

Eight Post-Break Tips to Get Back into the Groove of Exeter:

1. Order food.

Mix it up. Order from local restaurants like Penang & Tokyo. You can now use Swyft to order from Las Olas, McDonalds or 3 Brothers’ Marketplace on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

2. Join a New Club.

It’s not too late! Many clubs like The Exonian and Debate are still welcoming new members.

3. Unwind.

Hang out with friends you’ve missed over break at places like Grill and different dorms on campus.

4. Plan out and visualize.

Make a calendar to plan out assignments, and mark down future events you look forward to.

5. Find a New Study Area.

Switching up your study area can help you focus better. Try out spots in the library, dorm common rooms, the peer tutoring area or D Squared.

6. Set Goals for the Term.

Envision what you want to accomplish this term to make it easier to achieve your academic and personal goals.

7. Stay healthy.

Make sure you eat a well-balanced meal and drink plenty of fluids to help yourself stay alert in class.

8. Bundle Up.

Check the Weather app before heading out of your dorm/house to make sure you don’t get a cold and stay warm. (Just in case, invest in some DayQuil or VapoRub.)

Warmest Regards,

Johanna
