Hello Trendsetters! We love that everyone has been taking advantage of this wave of heat during the long winter. Thanks to this anomaly, bare legs have been spotted! Who knew short skirts and light cardis would be making their way into the winter months?Megan Smith ’16 looked gorgeous in a silver pair of metallic loafers and a long-sleeve floral dress. Lower Anna Hingham ’18 paired a lacy white top with faded grey jeans and black leather boots with cutout details. Camden Myles ’16 looked adorable in a black and white striped dress and black booties. Tan Nazer ’16 wore a blue wool blazer with leather details, suede lace up booties, blue jeans and a black top. Josie Russ ’16 looked lovely in a two toned chevron patterned sweater, blue skirt, black belt, and Tori Burch boots. Finally, religion instructor Mr. Ramsey looked super cool in a navy knit sweater, muted color pattern with olive and burgundy details.Back to oversized sweaters and bean boots it is! Following the oversized trend, large jackets have been loved this winter season. From long wool peacoats to boyfriend-style bomber jackets, anything oversized is a yes. Not only does this trend keep your style up to date, but it’s perfect for layering. And with the upcoming week of lower more-wintery temperatures, jackets can serve a dual purpose in making a statement and keeping you warm. This past Monday, Feb. 1 marked the beginning of Men’s Fall/Winter New York Fashion Week. The most notable aspect of the shows so far has been the increase in diversity of models on the runway. This follows with the worldwide movement to have runway shows represent a more multicultural world, emphasizing individuality rather than uniformity. In particular, labels such as Balmain, Givenchy, Hermés and Prada have been noted for their changes in the line up. Unique models such as Wang Chenming and Malik Jalloh were spotted on the runway in several different shows.Good luck with your classes and have fun with the rest of the winter term! Enjoy the (freakishly) warm weather...xoxo,Lexi and Julia
