Hello Fashionable friends,With the term quickly coming to a close, we know it can be tempting to slip into legging-sweatpant territory but do not give in! We were excited to see some classic fall looks this week. Jonathan Regenold ‘15 looked spiffy a classic blue and red checked button down, beige comfy-looking pullover sweater, dark cuffed jeans, and super cool brown leather sneakers with dark green panels.Josie Russ ‘16 rocked a red tribal printed skirt with rainbow detailed accents, accented with a simple black long sleeve top and black chelsea boots. Natasha Lim ‘15 looked edgy in a black and white chevron blouse, leather pleated skirt, black tights, black lace up booties. Colby Chaffin ‘15 wore unique grey-green slim fit pants and a classy gingham red and blue striped tie. Emma Kim ‘16 donned floral tights, with a black skirt, and baby pink fur coat; keeping warm and bright under all of these clouds and mist.If you’re looking for some new ideas for looks, cashmere sweaters are easy, warm, super soft and polished fall/winter look. Try pairing a neutral colored cashmere with a pair of dark green or maroon pants or a leather skirt. Chunky cashmere turtlenecks can also make for a solid fall to winter look.Although many resort to dark colors in the fall and winter, specifically black, many designers have been showing a trend towards lighter colors this fall, specifically, and surprisingly, pastels. Although we would usually categorize pastels as a look reserved strictly for the spring, we like this new idea of wearing pastels in colder weather to lighten the mood. Many runways have sported outerwear in baby blues, pinks and pale yellows this fall. These colors are a classic when one thinks of pastels but if you’re looking to shake it up a little more try a lilac, mint or even cream. Although this look makes a bit more of a statement and can be challenging to pull off. If you want to play it safe, try adding pastel accents like earrings or light colored loafers or sneakers. If anybody’s really looking the make a statement, in T-3 days Mary Katrantzou will be releasing her Adidas Originals collaboration, taking over the Adidas Originals instagram for a day, and host a live Q&A on their twitter account. Though Adidas has had many iconic collabs already, such as Jeremy Scott, Topshop, and Rita Ora, our love of Mary Katrantzou has lead us to believe this is going to be the most important collaboration of all.We hope our ideas helped and we look forward to seeing more hot looks as the term comes to an end.xoxoxo,Millie and Helen
