Happy Thursday Exeter!Although the rains continued this week, we still saw some solid looks on campus. Michelle Ysrael '15 looked edgy in a rusty-orange button down, black bodycon skirt, fuzzy black jacket and black nike sneaker wedges. Arielle Lui '18 dressed for the cold in a classic black and white fairisle sweater. A good sweater can be an easy solution to cold and lazy days.Speaking of cold weather, Alix Hunter ‘16 looked chic in an army green and black color-block coat. Jeanne Olivier '15 also looked fierce in a grey tweed a-line dress, leather moto jacket, tights and heeled booties.Jenny Hunt '17 conquered in a white silk top, plaid felt skirt, black leather ankle boots and black quilted Barbour jacket. Elsa Chinburg '15 went for a classic fall look in a textured black skater dress with three-quarter sleeves, translucent black tights and tall brown leather boots.Shout out to Brooks Saltonstall ‘15 for rocking a pair of very funky sunglasses with neon green and orange accents, and to Lazaro Cesar ‘15 for taking advantage of the 10 minutes of sunlight we got this week in a camouflage, short-sleeve, button-down shirt. This week in the fashion world, it is the 20th anniversary of Longchamp’s Le Pliage bag, a staple tote often carried by girls on campus. In honor of the anniversary, Longchamp is collaborating with Sarah Morris, an amazing artist who was actually approached by Longchamp 10 years ago but rejected the offer. Her line of bags features bright, geometric patterns, inspired by color, movement and people, complimented by the functionality and minimalist construction of the Le Pliage bag itself. If you’re looking for some new outfit ideas, we really love the sportswear trend. Cool and comfortable, it’s easy to make an outfit sporty and still keep it chic with a pair of hip kicks or a cool sports jacket. Many sporty brands are now making lines that are for day to day wear rather than just for working out, such as Lululemon’s “&Go,” Sweaty Betty’s “Sports Luxe” and Nike’s “Sportwear.” We always love Adidas, with their “Adidas Originals” line and their recent collaboration with Stella McCartney. Beyonce is also super in with this trend, and will even be collaborating with Topshop on a sporty new line, coming out fall 2015.If you’re looking for some especially comfortable sportswear, you could even try preordering Dear Kate’s yoga pants that are specifically designed to be worn without underwear. Countless internet reviews have also confirmed that going commando in Dear Kate yoga pants did not impede on their performance in recreational yoga and spin classes. So, on that note, happy Thursday Exonians and Happy Halloween!xoxoxoxo,Millie and Helen
