Trendwatch

Hey friends, foes, and

everybody in between,

First things first, in honor of Mother's Day and a quite important milestone this past Saturday, us at Trendwatch would like to wish our favorite communist, Miuccia Prada, the woman that brought us Miu Miu and kept Prada thriving, a happy 65th birthday! We forever admire her appreciation for art and ability to maintain a fashion powerhouse.

On another exciting note, this past Tuesday reporters and designers flocked to Dubai for Chanel's Resort 2015 show. The fashion empire hosted its guests at the Atlantis Resort (arguably one of the nicest in the Middle East) located on an artificial island called The Palm, in Jumeirah. Attendees were able to cruise to the remote island where the actual show took place via water taxi.

Over on this less exciting side of the world we still saw some great looks, whether the weather was a chilly 50 or balmy 80 degrees. Rachel Johnson '17 looked incredible in a layered short sleeve,, ivory-colored chiffon top and a red and white patterned skirt. This made for a great, comfortable spring look. Efe Airewele '16 sported great hair, a strapless floral jumpsuit, and a black cardigan. Tobi Laguda '14 kept it casual in Adidas track pants, a red tshirt, and two gold chains shining against his radiant skin. He humbly wore the two chains under his shirt, so you can only see them if you get really close, a feat only allowed by a lucky few. Speaking of dark-skinned beauties, Kwasi Oppung-Badu '14 wore a light cerulean, floral print, button down shirt tucked inside a black sweater, keeping spring sprung even when it's 45 degrees out.

Kenny Berger ‘15 sported a slick looking white and blue tile-patterned button down with cornflower blue pants. He paired his look with cool lime green Vans.

Thomas Clark ‘14 looked great as usual in a unique pair of striped tribal shorts in different shades of blue. His dark green lightweight sweater pulled the outfit together, with floral elbow patches that were one-of-a-kind. The patches and inner seams were hand-stitched out of kimono silk, courtesy of his mother.

Speaking of unique, we love Sean Lee's ‘14 new haircut, always accompanied by a colored hair-tie. He sported a pair of fun floral shorts that went nicely with his new cut.

Mason Polk ‘15 looked dapper in a blue blazer. His dark blue and white polka dot socks peeking out from under boat shoes made for a great statement piece. Sock game on point. Another great blazer-wearer was Latin teacher Mr. Harnett, who wore a boxy checkered blazer that deserves mentioning and general appreciation.

Thank you boys of Cilley and general sunshine occupiers of Southside quad for defining pastel, both in shorts and shirts. Campus has been vibrant all week with four shades of blue, pink, yellow and green. Too numerous to name, you know who you are.

Stay fabulous Exeter.

xoxo,

Millie, Helen and Scott
