Life Advice
With college decisions coming out for seniors, how do you guys handle the stress of entering the college process? Yoosk: College can seem daunting at first, but try not to stress out too much. Try to maintain good communication between you and your counselors/parents. As long as you have a fairly clear idea of what you want from college, you should be ok. I know that we Exonians tend to aim for the best of the best, but remember that there are plenty of great colleges to consider. Stressing over the college process will only make things harder for you. OhGeeEmPee: I think the main thing to make sure you stay on top of is your schedule. Make sure you register for tests when you need to, and prepare for CCO meetings earlier than the night before. If you stay organized and take the necessary steps in the college process it will make things a lot easier for you. I’m a prep, and recently I’ve had no issue with finishing my homework well before I go to bed. Do you guys know of any fun games or apps to play on PS3 or an iPhone? OhGeeEmPee: Recently Yusuke, myself and some other friends of ours have been practicing our piloting skills by playing an app by the name of Air Wings. Though this game is pretty old, it is making a comeback and taking the Academy by storm. A Dark Room is also a very interesting, peculiar app that has recently become popular on campus. If you’re looking for something to do in between classes or during lunch, download these apps and we guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Yoosk: If you’re feeling a little tired of the classics like FIFA or Halo, you should try out this game called Tokyo Jungle. You get to play as various animals of your choosing and you work to expand your territory. It’s embarrassing how many Saturday nights have gone by playing this masterpiece with my friends. If you’re looking for fun games, make sure that game supports multiplayer. Pretty much any video game played with friends is fun. I’ve heard that a lot of dorms around this time of year traditionally host dorm teas where you’re supposed to ask out a date. I have someone who I want to ask in mind, but I don’t know how to approach her since we barely know each other? Suggestions? Yoosk: Dorm tea tends to be a very casual event where you can get to know new people. Don’t stress out over who you go with or else you won’t be able to enjoy the actual event. With that being said, I know a lot of people aren’t ready to just jump in and ask someone who they barely even know. But let me just tell you that almost no one will turn down an invite to dorm tea (especially if its Ewald Klatsch). OhGeeEmPee: Honestly, EP or Facebook is definitely the most popular and efficient method to get to know someone. However, no matter how nervous you are, you should always ask someone yourself, don’t have your friend do it for you. How do I end upper year? OhGeeEmPee: Withdraw ASAP. Yoosk: Hold on till you finish your 333, then it’s time to hit that turn up playlist.~Have any life problems?
