Life Advice
Q1: I’m torn, I don’t know if I should spend Principal's Day with my lovely girlfriend or my homies. My friends tell me that I spend way too much time with my girl, but I also don’t want to leave her hanging. What should I do?
Yoosk: I think that the best thing to do here is to ask if she has any plans on the day. If she does, then tell her you will be spending some time with the boys. If she doesn't, then she probably wants you to make some plans for her. Ask her out on a Green Bean date or something, you can never go wrong with that.
Noah: I personally believe that Principal’s Day should be spent hanging out with your dorm/friends. If it’s a nice day outside, you could get together with your boys and play some dorm soccer. Sometimes it’s healthy to just take a break from all the stress that might come with a relationship. After all, you have EP every week if you want some intimacy with your girl.
Q2: All my friends are doing really great promposals, and here I am too shy to even ask a girl. I do have a girl in mind though, I’m just not sure how to impress her. Do I go for a grand promposal myself? If so, any cool ideas?
Yoosk: Although the promposals have been pretty fresh recently, I don’t think you need a grand show if thats not the kind of thing for you. If you’re shy as you say you are, don’t force yourself to do something that you aren’t naturally inclined to do. Maybe go with classic letter and rose in her P.O? And most importantly, don’t have someone do it for you. Also do it in person to show her that you’re serious.
Noah: Maybe you should bungee jump off of the library with a promposal poster. But all jokes aside, if you have your eyes on a girl that you want to take to prom, there is nothing like asking her face to face. Go for it dude, there’s really nothing to lose.
Q3: I’m currently an upper wondering what courses to sign-up for. I’m not sure if I want to take really easy courses and have a chill senior year or challenge myself like a true Exonian. What should I do?
Yusuke: Since I’m not an academic counselor or anything, take my response with a grain of salt. With that being said, I think you should challenge yourself. I know that we Exonians sometimes are inclined to place too much emphasis on grades but at the end of the day, you shouldn’t pass on all the great courses that are offered here. Also I know colleges like to see seniors who aren’t slacking off by only taking easy courses. I believe in you dude, good luck.
Noah: Go hard or go home.
