Life Advice

Mista_Hipsta_M: How do I get over the winter blues? Yusuke: Mason and I often pop some Nat King Cole on the record player and sit down with a nice cup of hot chocolate. Getting together with our dorm mates and playing some FIFA or watching a stupid YouTube video also helps lighten the mood. It’s a mental game. Don’t let the harsh winters of Exeter triumph over you. Mason: Break is so close that even though a lot of our workloads might get a little rough, the anticipation makes it pretty bearable. Just keep working hard and finish off the term strong so you can feel like you really ended the term on a good note. Also listening to some upbeat and happy music instead of angsty tunes, death metal or John Mayer may help to get your spirits up. tigerboi247: My neighbors in my hallway are far too noisy, are there any ways that I can respectfully bring a stop to this? Mason: Honestly and respectfully asking your dorm mates to quiet down is the best policy. If they continue to be a nuisance, talking to a proctor or dorm head may remedy your problem. But remember, snitches get stitches. anonymous: I’ve been sick pretty often this winter term, is there anything you two do to ensure your health and stay out of the health center? Yusuke: As experts on staying healthy, we suggest that you take your daily vitamins. We have chewable Vitamin C, calcium gummies and men’s multivitamin gummies. Stay on top of your vitagame, homies. Also, make sure to keep clean. Good hygiene not only keeps you healthy, but also helps you get ahead in your studies, instead of sleeping in the Sally Sunroom. Mason: Yusuke and I frequently take a breather from our homework to go on our daily water-breaks. For all you thirsty boys and girls out there, staying hydrated is a good way to stay out of the health center. Also spend more time in Grill trying to be social. Prettiboi5987: Hi Mason and Yusuke, I already have John Lennon glasses, a collection of five panels and camo pants. When I’m not back in Hong Kong and I’m here on campus, I consider myself a bit of a fashionboi, but I need something special to push my altne$$ to the next level. Any ideas? Mason: If you’re really willing to take a risk, really tight v-necks and your own handmade knitted gloves could bring your fashion reputation up. Even though it’s winter, Crocs and Toms will put you on top of the Exeter fashion scene. Also, our campus offers a hip fashion club that might give you the tips that we can’t.  Have any life problems?
