Dearest Exonians, Well, welcome back to yet another winter wonderland. With campus blanketed in a thick layer of snow this week, now’s your chance to show off your best snowfall attire, but our eyes this week are still focused on this year’s spectacular Abbot Casino. Those who made it through the cold to Grainger were definitely dressed to impress, as per usual.Clara Cohade ‘14 literally shined in an innovative, structured dress. Not only did she perfectly balance the shine with a black pair of tights, but her black heels and dark-tinted sunglasses were a wonderful touch to her outfit. Bravo, Clara!Pushing your way across Grainger on the hunt for that non-existent open seat may seem like pushing through a sea of plain black blazers, but seniors Julian Drury ‘14 and Kwasi Oppong-Bodu ‘14 changed the suit game. Stepping away from the usual casino black suit, Julian rocked a full gray suit and a classic leather strap watch. Kwasi took his jacket to an entirely new level. His jacket, matched with a gingham bow tie, is split up into two tones, and everyone knows how much we love color blocking!Jensen Elliott ‘14 always has the right dress for the occasion, whether it be Upper Dinner, Abbot Casino, or a warm spring day. She rocks lace like no other, and this year’s Abbot Casino was no exception. Jensen chose a fitted red dress covered in lovely black lace. With a deep-V neckline, this dress was just the right mix of classy and hot. Also showing that the deep-V can be much more classy than scandy was Jane Eun ‘15. With all the tight black dresses around, her creamy, flowing piece was a refreshing change, and the long sleeves made this look beautiful and mature . With gold accents and bold makeup, this girl truly looked as though she would feel at home at a black-tie event.Because casino night is really the only acceptable occasion in our social calendars to wear sparkles from head to toe, some ladies went all-out, but still looked amazing. Two lovely ladies from Bancroft who did it best were Heather Nelson ‘16 and Olivia Reed ‘16. Heather’s dress was simple in cut, but very flattering, and was covered in a beautiful, Gatsby-esque geometric pattern of silver and charcoal sequins. Olivia’s dress was a high-neckline shift with vertical stripes of silver shine. The looser cut allowed you to not only appreciate the beauty of the dress, but also Olivia’s lovely face and fiery locks! Both these ladies paired these show-stopping pieces with bold red lipstick, and of course, lovely smiles! You impressed this weekend! Best of luck braving the snow! XOXO,Elle, Alec and Mia
