Life Advice? Ask Mason & Yusuke

BUDDHA_AND_DOH: I excessively fall asleep in Chinese class. What can I do to stay awake? MASON: Personally, if you are able to wake up early enough to go get breakfast, that will give you more energy for the day as a whole. Also, bringing a water bottle to class can help you to stay alert during classes that you don’t understand. YUSUKE: Keep your Burt’s Bees supply on point. Or you could go to the bathroom and splash some water on your face. From experience, I can tell you that the best way to deal with sleepiness is by turning away from the teacher for 30 seconds and acting like you are taking notes when you are actually taking a power nap. TUNECHI25: When am I being too persistent with the ladies? MASON: If it gets to the point where you’re bashing your friends in front of them to impress that special someone, it might be getting a little out of hand. Try to keep your emoji game on the down low as well. If you’re not receiving the same signals back from your friend, excessively asking someone to EP is also a little creepy, so try to dial that down, too. KIMMY_LOUNGE101: A kid in my dorm dresses so fabulously that I’m scared he’ll make me look bad. How can I step up my fashion game? MASON: Have a friendly upperclassmen in your dorm help you out with some fashion tips. Colorful and creative sock prints will make you almost as cool as Nolan Peacock. YUSUKE: Don’t forget to switch it up; instead of a quarter-zip, maybe rock a cardigan or a really original Vineyard Vines or Patagonia jacket. Also, there’s a new product on the market that can help to distinguish you from everyone else on campus: Bean Boots. Every once in a while just google “hipster clothes” and keep yourself up to date. ALONE_AND_CONFUSED: How do I deal with my crush having a boyfriend? YUSUKE: Be really bitter about it and try to actively sabotage their relationship through subtle means such as asking her to EP, spreading rumours or constantly texting her. MASON: Try not to betray a homie. You win some, you lose some. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say Drake’s lyrics do a more-than-acceptable job of getting us through those tough times. Give him a listen. Showing your sensitive side isn’t a bad thing. The wise, iconic legend once offered some insight to his sensitive side with the remarkable quote, “I got bathwater that you could soak in.” Your advisers,Yusuke Agata & Mason Polk Have any life problems?
