What’s good, Exonians? We’ve made it to midterms and we are noticing more and more leggings as the air becomes colder. A comfy day is always okay, but remember, we’re watching. We must say, we were impressed with the show of sweaters this week. Kat Racine ‘14 sported one of our favorites— a sweater full of bright, warm colors and geometric designs. This girl knows how to get down and dirty as head of Exeter’s sporting club, but also how to look gorgeous in class! Annie Choi ‘15 also pulled out a fun geometric print sweater. Hers had a unique pattern of layered, colorful triangles coming down from the neckline which ended with a lovely charcoal color that filled the rest of the sweater. Also showing off her favorite knitted top was Zaidee Laughlin ‘16. She kept it classic with a tan and black horizontally striped sweater with jeans and brown leather boots. This girl always manages to dress perfectly for the weather. She was the image of comfort and style, as usual.Darius Scott ‘14 wore a vibrant tribal-patterned sweater filled with various colors and patterns and accented it with an opulent gold chain. One of our favorite preps, Kelly Lew ‘17 pulled out one of the first peacoats of the season, and one of our favorites yet (we love that it’s finally coat and sweater season)! Kelly’s jacket boasted a beautiful stone gray color with stripes of green, gold, and rose. A new take on the preppy-staple peacoat, this one of a kind jacket showed us that this prep will be on trendwatch’s radar for years to come.Carrying on the trend of well dressed guys, Charlie Boyd ‘14 and Sahil Singhvi ‘14 graced the campus with a quality combination of pink ties and blazers. Both spotted in assembly sporting creatively patterned shirts were none other than Stuart Faith ‘14 and Natalie Wyatt ‘14. Stuart graced the senior section of the Assembly Hall with a mushroom-covered blouse. The flowing shirt, with a cream background, was sprinkled with forest-green mushrooms, accenting the wonderful fall weather outside. On the other hand, Natalie’s lightweight blouse was covered in colored antelopes (or Caribous, no one is quite sure). Each animal was shrouded in different patterns, it definitely drew the eye to Nat’s creative top.Stepping outside of Exeter’s “realm of preppiness,” was Hannah Piette ‘17 strutting across campus in a vintage acid-washed jean jacket. Layered on top of a loose skirt and graphic-T, Hannah is definitely leaving her stylish mark all over campus.Marc Steele ‘14 took it back down preppy road and rocked a pair of Nantucket red pants, attempting to hold on to the warm summer that’s now far behind us. He made the bold choice of pairing them with Timberland boots, an interesting contrast both in season and style. We hate to say goodbye to those summer looks we so love, but it’s time for us all to embrace fall and winter colors!A final shoutout to all of the fantastic acapella groups on campus who performed this parent’s weekend! The women of Sans Hommes, In Essence, PEADs, and Fermatas looked gorgeous and sounded amazing. The lovely lads of the Exeteras and PEADs stunned the crowd with their voices and their looks! Way to go everyone,we’re definitely pumped for your future performances! One more thing, Exonians. Starting next week, we will be bringing back bachelor/bachelorette of the week.
