Trendwatch

Happy October, Exonians! Out of the chaos of the Prep Rep elections in Agora last week sprung Sima Shah ’14 who oversaw the election and stood out among the crowd, sporting a unique pair of heels straight from a recent trip to India. With a delicate pattern on the front of the shoe, the cherry on top of the shoes was by far its bold strap. On the other hand, Erica McCormick ’16 graced her classes last week with a great pair of colorfully patterned slacks, matched with a soft cream shirt. To top it all off, Erica also rocked one of our favorite preppy pieces: the ever-stylish Oxford shoe. We’re proud, Erica! Also adding a pop of color to a cold week was Slater Sullivan ’14, who rocked a neat blue gingham tie. Ties are by far the easiest way to add an interesting facet to your everyday dress code, well done Slater. Also killing the tie game were Mr. Hartnett and Mr. Weatherspoon. Always in style with his multitude of cool ties, this week Mr. Harnett showcased a tie with an awesome brightly colored, map pattern. Following the trend of bright colors was Mr. Weatherspoon, who apparated around campus wearing an awesome pink and purple segmented tie. Nice going!Representing the prep class well, we spotted Claire Dauge-Roth ‘17 showing off a unique inside-out stitched sweater. The geometric patterns were full of bright colors and seeing the knit from the other side really turned heads. Watch out boys, this girl is a cutey and knows her fashion. Andrew Turner ‘15 also showed us that he’s ready for sweater weather with his signature oversized knit sweater. This neutral toned sweater appears to have been hand knitted, and we love the classic pattern. He always looks like one of the coziest guys on campus. Two people who are always Trendwatch worthy, Francis Lee ‘15 went above and beyond their usual fashion forwardness this week. Francis color coordinated like none other this week with a dark blue and green plaid tie. He paired this sharp accent with a matching dark green sport coat. Our favorite part of the outfit: the russet elbow patches.Joe Platte ‘15 looked dashing this week in a blue button down and a burgundy paisley tie, one of his classic looks. This enthusiastic athlete topped off the eye catching yet also understated outfit with his crew boathouse. We must say, the lively maroon complimented the tie wonderfully.Rounding out this week in a regal fashion is Asile Patin ‘14 who strolled around campus in a beautiful floor length burgundy dress and thin black belt. That’s it for this week Exonians, but be sure to keep us on our toes! Forever yours and forever fashionable,Alec, Elle, and Mia
