What up Exeter,
Summer is just around the corner and everyone is dying to get off campus. Already dressed to impress for this summer was Kerrick Edwards ’14, who looked put-together in a vermilion patterned dress, a jean jacket and woven sandals.
Quite a few gorgeous girls stepped out this week in blue and black ensembles. Rebecca Nievar ‘14 graced the campus with a groovy blue maxi dress that she paired with a simple black cardigan and black sandals. Continuing the trend of maxi dress beauty were seniors Thelma Imouokhome ‘13 and Kehinde Odusote ‘13. These girls are truly fashion queens who both dressed regally. Thelma rocked a navy blue maxi with a slit, paired with a black leather jacket and black flats, while Keh dazzled in a black-and-white patterned halter maxi, paired with a maroon cardigan.
Shaquille Brown ‘14
opted for a shorter sundress in catalina blue, with amazing cedar and cerulean circular designs. She finished off her perfect spring outfit with brown espadrille wedges.
Even though he’s been back on campus from his winter term abroad for quite some time now, Geda Tola ’13 can usually be seen sporting his Ecuadorian souvenirs. His main piece, an ivory-and-tan zip-up sweater covered in llamas, brings some needed exotic flavor to rural New Hampshire. Both Geda and his spectacular Ecuadorian sweater remind us that, yes, there is a world outside of the Exeter bubble.
Also adding some couture culture to our campus, Sahil Singhvi ‘14 wore a pair of wondrous beige harem pants. He modernized the outfit with a shirt and tie with red and grey accents and a pair of grey Toms! Kudos, kiddo, we love you, your poetry and your stylish pants.
Speaking of the world outside of Exeter, the critics are raving about the new Great Gatsby film. Telling the story of vapid socialites in the 1920s outside of New York City, the clothing is nothing short of spectacular. Exeter’s own Gatsby was none other than Mr. Griffith, who sported an electric blue blazer with crème pants.
Also straight out of a scene from Gatsby was Emma Kim ’16 in a Roaring Twenties-esque boater hat. Emma pulled the look together with a bright lemon-striped shirt and an even brighter smile. We spotted her again making the same bold hat choice, this time pairing it with simple brown shorts and a unique sweater: a one-of-a-kind navy cardigan with charming foxes peering out on the bottom. Cute girl, cute foxes, cute clothes.
We’d also like to give a long overdue shout-out to the trees in downtown Exeter. We don’t know who crocheted the fauna of our previously boring streets, or why, but congrats to you. You’ve made the trees more stylish than most Exonians.
Our final mention goes out from Elle to the two best dressed students on campus, my fellow editors! Alec Hernandez ‘14 and Mia Arefeaine ‘14 will have been looking fine for seventeen years this week—happy birthday guys! You always manage to keep it classy, Alec, with your sharp yet colorful ensembles, and Mia, you have a unique, modern style that I long to emulate. You and your clothes make this campus a better place every day—thank you!
A bientôt!
