What’s good, Exeter? With spring term comes senioritis, so the uppers now have complete reign over the Exonian. Yes, you heard right- new Trendwatch editors! With half us upper class turning in their 333's, that sigh of relief can only mean one thing: warm weather has finally made its way to New Hampshire. Spring fashion means flowers, and we've seen plenty of fun prints around campus. The ever fashionable Scott Heston '14 rocked a classic, preppy look with ash-gray golf shorts, boat shoes, and a white button-down. To top it all off, he added a vibrant azure tie polka-dotted with amaranth and deep-pink roses and chartreuse leaves. Well done, Scott, well done.Mark Hill ’14 stunned us with both his incredible color choices and the amount of matching hats and shoes he owns. He stepped out today looking fresh in a cap and sneaks that were both Tennessee orange, a choice color for a beautiful day. Though it may seem overwhelming at first glance, Mark pulls it off well, choosing to complement it with a plain white tee and dark wash jeans, showing that boys can pull of a pop of color just as well as girls can. Also electing to wear a choice piece on a simple canvas, Zoe Ene ’13 was seen shining bright like a diamond among her many friends. She combined a chunky crystal necklace with a laid-back white tee, boyfriend jeans, and her trusty army green satchel. Not afraid of rocking the biker look (props to you girl), this fashion empress completed her outfit with a popular trend, brown motorcycle boots. We can only hope her perfect outfits continue to brighten our days!Among the ladies, dresses and skirts abounded this week with the rising temperatures. Saisha Talwar '15 stunned us yet again with a denim jacket over an emerald green sundress. She showed off camel flats with navy accents and neon yellow toes, which highlighted her très chic necklace full of the silver and neon yellow gems. The award for our favorite outfit of the week goes to (drum roll please) Elias Robinson '14. This dapper gentleman paired a light rose button down with a dark gray tie which matched his pants perfectly. Real men wear pink, as we always say. To top it all off, he chose a fantastic navy ribbon and webbing belt with bright pink elephants which made us reminisce of our childhood days. Speaking of childhood days, we'd like to applaud biology teacher Mr. Janicki's daughter, Ingrid Janicki, for her colorful outfits. We spotted her wearing a ballerina-esque dark blue skirt with layers of sheer fabric and an adorable feather-like frill lining the bottom. Keep us smiling, Ingrid! The faculty on campus looked especially sharp this week. Mr. Robinson capitalized on the Spring theme with one of his favorites, his vegetable ties. Mr. Robinson never fails to impress us with his wide array of unique ties made by Mrs. Robinson. He paired this pick with a light hunter green shirt, which completed his earthy look and made us want to get out our trowels and gloves! With college application season coming to a close for seniors on campus, uppers are just starting the grueling college grind. Cooling the overwhelmingly tense atmosphere at the College Fair last Tuesday evening was PEA College Counseling’s one-and-only, Mr. Hoven. Looking preppy in his khakis and navy blazer, Mr. Hoven tied his look together with a striped bowtie. We’d like to give a shoutout to the dashing gents of Main Street, who we spotted sporting their new dorm gear. The crew neck sweatshirts, (who doesn't love crew necks?) were complete with their signature moose and ΜΣ, but the boys kept it classy with white on hunter green theme, and a slightly more refined pattern than in years past, but showing no less pride. Some of them even tried to color block by layering the green on more green... nice attempt Toby Laguda ’14! Keep it up, boys! From crew necks to crew (a.k.a. Exeter’s largest operating cult), we spotted none other than varsity crew’s Julian Drury ’14 wearing a remarkably distinct button down. Spotted with black and white rowing shells, Julian’s shirt blended perfectly with his cardinal tie. This athletic yet classy look reflects Julian’s athletic personality just as much as his creative sense of style.Have fun pulling out your spring shorts, prints and sandals, Exonians! Until next week! Forever yours and forever fashionable, Mia, Alec, and Elle
