The Bubble
This week, Humor took to the streets and we reached out to the people of Exeter for their highly informed opinions. This week's humor article is based off of our muse, Jimmy Fallon's piece known as Confusing Question of the Day. We introduced questions as part of a poll for the Exonian to unsuspecting students and faculty. Here are their (hilarious) answers.
The question:
In light of the budding friendships between Putin and US celebrities such as Miley Cyrus and Jay-Z, are you in support of the non sequitur sequester Obama has decided to send over to bail out Crimea even though our financial support may be funneled into a Benghazi military program?
The answers: (these are actual, direct quotes)
"Who's Putin?"
"Who's Crimea? Is that a celebrity?"
"I'm not really all that informed about the Crimea Benghazi military programm, maybe you should ask Mama because she would know."
"Personally, I'm more concerned about what's going on in Ukraine than about The Crimea."
"No, I don't think we should be spending money. The Benghazi military program really sounds dangerous."
"The Benghazi military program? Yeah, they're the ones who are training people for the wars right? Yeah they're not good."
"What does non sequitur mean?"
"No, I'm not in support of Obama. Our family doesn't like Obama, so anything he does we don't like."
"Wait, if Obama is sending money over to Ukraine to free people, then I'm okay with it."
"I think everyone should love each other."
"Miley and Putin? That's just like that basketball player and Kim Jong-ill, right?"
"Are Miley and Putin a thing?"
"Sorry I don't know I'm in the Exeter hole right now."
"Hey, hey, Audrey what does the Russian president use when he can't find a toilet - a poo- tin!"
